What would I run in a Corvette?

I just was asked and here is my reply...
You all know about Mobil-1 20W-50 V-Twin
Well Mobil makes a 10W-40 version of it that is every bit as tough. It's a great "summer" multi-vis for any car or truck that can take a 10W-30. Going up a notch in the summer is fine.
It's called Mobil-1 MX4T and found right next to V-twin on the auto shelf. Walmart has it for $ 7.00/qt. Just add a Mobil-1 oil filter and you are good for 5,000-7,500 miles. It's VI is 160 and it's flash-point is 487*F. A truly outstanding oil that is once again the one to beat. Same additives as V-twin with boron and ZDDP and no moly.
Got a car or truck you want to run 300,000 miles?...use this oil.
Good for most cars, trucks in the summer and boats in cooler areas as well.
If running a 5W-30 undisputedly Amsoil 5W-30 Series 3000 is the best in it's grade but as always a $9/qt price tag goes with it's performance.. It's what you put in your Vette in the winter. Mobil-1 10W-30 certainly holds it own...I use it but change every 3,000 miles.

I went to the local Wallmart and Auto Zone looking for
Mobil 1 20w-50 V-Twin, since My boat is almost due for an oil change. Well, No Mobil 1 V-Twin to be found at either. The Auto Zone did have the Mobil 1 10w-40 MX4T for $7.99 /quart. I did buy 8 of the 10 quarts they had left. I plan on using it for My Yamaha V-Max and Suzuki TL1000S motorcycles in the fall. Now if I could only find the Mobil 1
V-Twin for the boat that I need now!!!

If you can;t find Mobil-1 V-Twin then Amsoil 20W-50 Severe Service HD is only an internet order and UPS delivery away.

Hydro,
You said that the Gold Cap isn't selling well? Is there something not good about it? I thought it was MUCH better than the old redcap M1? I just switched all of my vehicles to the gold cap including the boat....fair price for fully synthetic...not sure I want to spend the $8/quart
