steering turns one way more than other

steering turns one way more than other
Had a new quicksilver standard steering cable installed on my checkmate last fall. After the new system was installed, it will turn right 1 1/2 times and left 2 1/4 times. Called the marina and he said that I might be in the "tube". Anyone ever came across the same problem?
