What is normal oil usage for a 525 efi.one of the engines using 1 qt./16 hrs. and the other is using 4 qts./hr.Merc says 4 qts./16 is normal.so does that mean the other is abnormal.it sounds like i have 1 4 stroke engine and 1 2 stroke engine.here is what happens when it comes out of the dipstick tube.guess merc will be getting a call in the am.

Here are a few more and by the way that was 4 qts. in the bilge.

my owners manual says it is normal to use up to 1 quart in 1-5 hours if the engine is operated continuosley at the upper end of rpm range.

This is what i don't understand.i know a racer that runs 5350rpms at a race and only uses 1 qt. after every race.i'm getting alot of blow by out the top of the valve cover and most of the oil is coming out of the dipstick tube.
