What is the diference between the 51060R and the 51069R? I called NAPA and they didn't have the 51060R's in stock but recommended the 51069R. Is is a shorter filter and if so will it work?

Tell them to order the 51060R for you. Its worth it. A shorter filter is going to have less filter media in it. The Wix Racing filter available from NAPA is the best filter on the market IMHO.

The only time you want a shorter filter is when you have those idiots that design the bottom of a GM truck that put the oil filter right on top of the front drive shaft, and with extreme axle travel it will kink the filter.

I'll have them order them up. BTW-They're 1/2 price from NAPA right now. $11.95 for two.

ttt...it's time to do my first oil change on my new 525's. What's the most current thinking on the best filter to use?

I have been using the Purolator Pure One my 496's and 502 before that. Is the NAPA or Wix higher rated?

Also, what is the difference in the two Wix's filters listed above?

I know, old thread.

Any updates on 525efi oil filters? I've been usuing the Merc filters but they are pricey.

Is NAPA and Wix the same thing?

Yes, but they recently revamped their whole numbering system.
