The AMSOIL Severe Service TRO 20w-50 has been popular lately. https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/tro.aspx?zo=1132530

Go and click on the "Preferred Customer Program" link at the upper left and add it to your cart to get discounted pricing to show. The prices will be at the same level that the dealers pay. You can even add the WIX Racing 51060R filters at a discount doing it this way.

FYI Advance has Mobil 1 filters on sale for $7.88 thru the end of the month.

[QUOTE=Hydrocruiser]FYI

The new Mobil-1 Extended Oil Filter is a big improvement over the other in terms of increased retention capacity...much stronger internals and case as well as great filtration. For about $11.00 it is hard to beat.

Re: Marine Lubrication

I was going to buy some M1 oil for may hp500efi today. The guy selling the oil said I must use marine grade oil because of some additives. My boat does not run much, it sits at the dock from may to mid October and gets only run 25-50hr a season. Not to many days with good weather her up north... :(

What do you think? What oil should I buy, M1 or special marine grade oil?

We did an analysis of Mercury and Mobil-1 15W-50 through Blackstone labs a while back.

Could not find anything special in the Mercury oil that makes it different being a marine oil except for the "MARINE" label on the jug.

I am located in Norway, no Walmart here. The M1 is about $20-25 per liter, and not in stock only spesial order. :mad:
