Got a big oil filter onto a '96 454 MAG!

After a few trips to the store and no luck finding a short enough oil filter for my '96 454 mag, I went to the hardware store and got some longer SS bolts and nuts. I raised the remote filter holder up about 1 1/2 inches and now I have room for a big-boy sized 302 Mobil 1 filter.
I also installed a Fram quick drain fitting to the oil pan so next time I can hook a hose up to it. This time around I dumped the oil out the bilge into a drain bucket. Not too messy to clean up but I don't want to do it again. |
