Re: Hyd. roller lifters Gen 6
GEN VI, Dart, and World all have lifter bores that are .220" taller then the old Gen IV's. This takes a tallerlifter. Some mfgs sell 2 lengths of lifters and the taller ones are more expensive. The Morel lifter is designed to go in both blocks and use std length pushrods that the Gen VI uses.

The Cranes also are set up for stock pushrod length. What do the Morels run and do they have tie bars or flats for the GenVI retainers? Dave |
Re: Hyd. roller lifters Gen 6
Check price with RMbuilder. The Morels are the link bar style and are not lift limited like the dogbone type.

Re: Hyd. roller lifters Gen 6
Crane dogbone lifters are not lift limited under normal max hyd roller lifts to .650+. The stockers are OK to .570 (and then a little  )
The Cranes at .632 (.371) still were up .050 out of the retainer or so at the base which would translate to over .700 lift if you dare :D They are a very clean setup with minimal moving parts but I didn't realize they got so expensive. The Morels may be the way to go here. |

585 654 8583. Ask him how much more the Morels are worth power wise over the competition.

The GM are the worst lifters to use. Look at the bottom of the lifter that holds the axle on the shaft. It is very thin. Look at a Crane, much beefier.
Crane uses GM stock push rods. I used Comp Cams and they are very good as well, but I had to buy new pushrods which was a bummer. |
