the gauge is correct there is no doubt thats it is getting hot. the engine that runs hot has 10 more lbs of oil pressure and has since day one. any ideas couldn't hurt , thx

Maybe there is a Coney Island Whitefish clogged in your one motor pickups after you nailed that porn star on the deck of the boat.
my kpm strainers would have caught it jc

I had a similar problem and found it in the power steering cooler.

Where is your water pressure gauge hooked up? At the drain plug maybe? And are they mechanical or sensor? I would switch them to be sure they are accurate.

The following will narrow the problem down for you.

Temporarily remove the power steering cooler (use a pipe) and test it. If no change, verify the pressure just before the exhaust (put a temporary tee in the line). If you have 15PSI there, then switch exhaust. If no change, you have an internal engine restriction, and you will need to tear it down, before you have a bigger issue.
