Dang... this could rank right up there with the "Shingle Thread"..... Plums might clog up the chillers... maybe you could plumb them instead.......

Here is how I would do it. I would pick the water up with a transom mounted pick-up. Run 1" hose through a sea strainer. from the sea strainer I would run a -12 braided hose to the front of the chiller. The fitting just opposite the -12 inlet hose would be a -6 hose running overboard the side of the boat in a location that can be seen when driving the boat. The two rear fittings on the chiller would be -8's teed together and dumped through a -10 out the back of the boat. Now you have water either entering or leaving at all four corners of the chiller to guarantee consistent cold water. You also have a visual verification there is water flowing through the chiller. Nothing will be flowing at idle. Motor is cooled by drive water pickup. Just my .02!

The best way to do that is to out a tee and a vlve in the inlet side of the sytem that has a hose bib on it so you can close the velve from the inlet hose then hookup the hose and blow em out that way, the engine doesn't even need to run to do it. You defenitly don't want to plumb it into the raw water system from the engine though becuase you want water to be forced into the chiller by motion not a pump. This way you ahve no water flow when you are ideling and very little at slow speeds. If you overcool the intake air when you are at low RPM it a can result in fuel puddleing which basically means you have large amounts of raw fuel sitting in the intake.

I run thru hull water pickups to 1-1/4 hose to a strainer
out of the strainer to #12 feeding the intercooler
to #16 dumping out thru transom.
I have waterpressure gauges on the dash that read 10
pounds at 100plus.

I run two water pickups just to sure I am providing enough water to chillers. Better safe than sorry.
