Default Sandblasting an Outdrive?????

I was thinking about having my volvo sx drive sandblasted. Is there anything to worry about when doing this? I plan on taping off the drive shaft at both ends and the shifting assembly but otherwise, should I have any issues with sand getting in the unit?

Thanks

I've sandblasted 2 alphas that we removed from the boat and taped off everything. The next year I did 2 bravos while still on the boat. It's best to remove the drive so you can get to all the areas. As GoodT said....The quality of the primer job will make or break the paint job.
