Default revolution headers

Anyone have experience with these headers? I have a procharged (M-1) with cast headers that mate up to a volvo crosover muffled through hull. The revolution appear as though they would near bolt up to meet the volvo openings which the stock set do through a 12" long exhaust hose.

I have Revolution exhaust on my BB/Bravo set up. They are'nt really "headers" as no long (30+ inch) runners. But they are an improvement over the stock Merc exhaust. Much improved low and mid range, and limited (very limited) top end improvement, at least in my case.

kidnova....

Did the revolution bolt right up without any issues? What year motors are you running? I've got 1994 454 mags carb and was thinking about the revolution exhaust. Is there a big difference in weight compared to the stock exhaust?

Are you happy with your purchase of the revolution exhaust???

Thanks for your comments!!!

East Coast,

I'm running a single BB ZZ502. After the ZZ was dropped in the boat, for the 1st season I used the stock Merc exhaust that came off the 7.4 that was pulled. Yes, the Rev's bolted up to the ZZ with no issues. I expect they will bolt up ok to a 7.4/454 with no problems. My 7.4 was a Gen V 1995.

Only a couple of minor issues that I recall, a brass plug at the front of the Rev manifold rubbed against the fuel/water filter. I ground about 1/8 inch off of it. Also, you need to change the power steering belt. It's been a couple of years now, but that's all that comes to mind. BTW Todd at Rev Marine was very good about answering questions prior to purchasing the Revs.

There is quite a weight difference. I did not weigh either exhaust system. But my guess would be that the Rev's probably weigh less than 1/2 of what the Mercs do. I think shipping weight on the Rev's was 78 pounds, if that helps.
