Powdercoaters
Planning on sending my twin engine Gaffrig throttle/ shifters this winter. Changing from white to purple to match the bezels.
I can disassemble and blast the coating off myself, but do I need to do the complete outfit, meaning under dash sides? I'm told powdercoating can be applied over old if in good shape, as far as the underneath side is conscerned. I really don't care if the bottom side is left white.
Can it be an exact match to the bezels, whomever Fountain uses?
Anyone interested in doing this small job? And what preferences are desired as far as prep work I can do?
And finally, and ball park figure $$.
I'm looking at no sooner than 1 month before I'm ready to ship.
Thanks

Look up on the web Exotic Coatings in Romulus Michigan. He has done a done of powder work on my boat. Reasonable cost and superior work. A ton of colors available. I started with Exotic because if Sterling Motors sends ALL of their work to them, they are good enough for me.

Re: Powdercoaters
when you have them coated make sure they mask off the pivot pin or they will be to tight in the bushings This is on eof the reasons not to coat the bottoms if for some reaon they do get coated us a polisher on a dremel and they will clean right up

Re: Powdercoaters
Take them apart and blast all of the pieces. I will mask and plug everything that needs to be.
