I have a 1991 38 Fountain Sport Cruiser with staggered motors. I am looking into replacing the exhaust. (stock 502's). They are not leaking but they look like the original exhaust. The boat has always been used in fresh water.
1. What would be the best way to find the correct replacement exhaust manifolds and risers?
2. Will it make a difference that the motors are staggered?
3. Can anybody give me any helpful hints? The do's and don't of changing the exhaust? Thanks for the help!

If it ain't broke dont fix it....and you would be looking at about $10K for nothing.

Ouch! I was thinking half that if I did the work myself. I just don't know how long the stock exhaust lasts in fresh water. I have heard 3 to 5 years around salt.

I bought new exhaust for my 502 and it cost $950 the name of them is Revolution Marine. I cant really tell if it made any added performance. Sounds a little better. I wish I bought headers instead. Just because I would like it a little louder. But can't complain for the $950. But since you have staggered engines this my not work for you.

Thanks, I would prefer to stay with the stock exhaust or their direct replacement. Reliability is what I am looking for.
