Well I should have taken Quiet Storm's advice to change them before I ran it again. About 6 months after I posted my question I lost the gaskets and ended up with a complete rebuild. 180 hours. Did end up though with a roller cam and more HP from Pfaff.:D

Same for '02 575SCi's?

How about 03's ? Had not heard of issues at stock boost levels, planned to wait to do head gaskets when adding chillers and raising boost.
Same concern with 03 stock gaskets as with previous years ?

I wish I would have know about the 02's. I ruined a motor last season at 281 hours.

Kelly O,
I added Super Chiller's and picked up 8 MPH in my 35 Lightening. Go for it!!

That is how I found out the original head gaskets are lousy. The good thing was after rebuilding the motors, they were fantastic. I miss them.

Head Gaskets

I agree!!! Cometic or Fle-Pro MLS (Very simular or maybe even identical) are the way to go.

We have always run Fel-Pros with the internal lock wire on supercharged applications. With great results! (Reciever grooves must be cut in head or deck for their use)

However, we started using MLS/Cometic gaskets a couple of years ago after seeing them used on 2000HP+ drag engines running 30+ pounds of boost without grooves or wire.

They have been flawless...
