Is it me , or does the bottom pic show the starboard ram bolted right at the bottom of the boat and the next pic up shows it bolted about 6 inches up from the bottom

Keep looking down...you will see the rest of the boat...It got me to for a couple minutes !

With full hydraulic, the steering wheel may not stay centered as time goes buy and fluid "slips" by the internal seals, so straight ahead may be with the wheel slightly turned one way or the other. This is the curse of full hydraulic steering. Without the hard cable link to the pilot valve, "center" can drift somewhat. That is why most full hydraulic wheels are symmetrical three spokes. This is not a problem just a little "issue" so don't be surprised if it happens. Most just drive the boat and don't look at the position of the wheel until stopped and then straighten up the wheel with the engine(s) off.

DOH!!!! You're right , I'm stupid

Sure did look like the bottom of the boat.
