Mercathode questions!
#1
I'm installing mercathodes as part of my TRS to bravo changeover.
My boat is a trailer queen and hasn't seen saltwater in 10 years. Therefore I'm not wiring directly to the batteries, but thru the battery switches.
From what I've read ,there is no draw until they are in water, when the reference anode detects stray voltage in the water ,then it sends out a blocking current, right?
They come with a 20 amp fuse, that seems kinda high for something that constantly runs, no?
How much current do the mercathodes draw when the boat is in the water?
Thanks,
DS
