Re: purple engine enamal????
dont use a spray bomb, use a 2 component paint system, paint/hardener and some reducer. doller offshore used nason blue label snythetic enamel on all the drives they rebuild its cheap and holds up well. BTW mercury marine is not a paint manufacturer, neither is gm, ford, or omc, paint manufacturers sell to these companies. enamel works well cuz it has great adhesion properties and is soft so large chunks wont flake off if it gets chipped or damaged. talk to your local paint jobber for automotive paints, he can set you up.

Ratman is right, use your local auto paint suppliers. If your set on using the Duplicolor spray bomb method, NAPA can get it for you.

I wanted to use a spray bomb because you take your time and it looks good enough for me.....plus I dont have access to air, a gun or any of that so Id have to pay someone and it would turn into like $500 and I wanted to spend $30
HigherPower - Is there any metallic in it at all??.......the purple Im trying to match is a typical offshore boat kind of a deep purple....a little metallic in it.....the darker of the two 3M purple vinyls actually.......
