I have this....

It is awesome, it looks similar to what you are looking at. It doesn't allow for tuning and calibration though.

I want it for tuning & calibration. I guess it works on more than one ECM, hints I could hook up my friends!

We have and use Jim's Ingenious software. It works very well, is very user friendly and fairly simple to use. Jim has updates coming to make it even easier to tune. We do a lot of work on the dyno and our new 725HP 600 inch N/A 496 Raylar motor is equipped with the MEFI4b tuned with Jim's software.

725HP 600 inch N/A 496 you are confusing me? :D 496 based block made to 600 ci. What kind of piston wear are you getting or have you had enough run time. Long pulls not little 30 seconds blasts they do not count.

You have some great stuff I just wish I has some money to play with.

Re: Ingenious Marine software

I spoke at length with ASM. The software they created is based on Merc software, however it works only with the ASM ECU, which is MEFI 4. An adapter for the MEFI 3 to MEFI 4 conversion is available. The different packages offered allow a user to use the software on an ECU previous mapped by ASM or purchase a new ECU and the software together. It is actually a pretty good price if you compare it to Holley and others with programmable software out there.

The only issue is that is this worth it for a one time mapping of an ECU. Once they're set, they don't require tweaking, so a couple thousand dollars may be wasted compared to having your ECU mapped on a dyno for $ 300.00 - 500.00 + dyno cost.

Didn't you guys claim you could use the merc ecu without needing to change any mapping, or maybe you still do.

If ASM only letts you do one ECU, what a waste. I'll look at the software from the mfg that Ray was talking about.
