Dont have a diagram, and you wont need it. Right front lower.
Meaning Right if your standing on your motor looking forward.
About 5" long pump, line goes in line comes out, screen in front traps all the crap that the builders leave in our fuel tanks as they sit on the shelf. I hope Fountain and others will learn from this. Mine was full of bugs and metal shavings, bugs living in the tank and shavings from someone tapping the tank for fuel line and figuring all that metal wont hurt any thing. Good luck, JC

When you guys see a clogged fuel pump screen(or when you buy the boat with the 496 system).Get a Racor S3232UL (10 micron) or equally and be done with the problem.

Boost pump. Went thru two of them after experiencing same problems and verified by fuel pressure gauge. Seems since the ethanol thing began the crud and water in the tank seems to have fried both pumps one right after the other. The first one went suddenly. The other croaked slowly or intermittently.

Good luck. I would think other than boost pump replacement (easy to do btw) the next step would be to examine the condition of the injectors.
