merc 2 reverse band adjustment

What is the procedure to adjusting the reverse band on the merc 2 trans . The trans are fresh, do i snug up the adjuster and back it off a turn ,half turn ,quarter turn ?

Torque to 120 in. lbs,then back off 3/4 turn.
