The impellor has a tendency to groove the cover quite a bit and as soon as its fairly considerable, the water pressure starts to drop off quite a bit. Assuming fresh clear water can you give a ball park on engine hours at which the sea water pump pressure drop becomes significant. Would your first hand experience on sea water pump pressure drop be primarily from your dynamometer testing?

Fresh, clear, but shallow and we anchor and hang out there most of the time. the bottom is soft sand pretty much every where. I plan on changing my impellers as well, I can pretty much bet the pump housing has some grooves.
