Default pullin motor with trans and speedmasters

Pulling the motor tomorrow , Can I pull the motor and trans with out removing the drive by walking everything forward ?Trans is new to me. Just pull the two as one assembly correct ?

Well yeah, you probably can if you have six or more inches to move the engine/tranny forward before you tilt and/or lift it out. But what would be the point, since you will want to align everything after the engines are reinstalled prior to bolting up the outdrives? --- Jer

Yes you can remove the engine and transmission without removing the outdrive , provided there is enough room to slide the engine and trans forward almost 1 foot to disengage the driveshaft. But.... here is the bad news... you will most definately have to remove the outdrive to put it back together, because you cannot refit the driveshaft to the transmission coupling if you have hands any bigger than a small monkey...

I have pulled mine this way several times, also reinstalled the motor and tranny together without touching the outdrive. Maybe I just got lucky, but I will be reinstalling them this week like this.

Plug in or Drive line style ?.....I know it doesnt matter with driveline style
