I have done lots and lots and even more in fountains, active thunders sonics and all the rest all upside down not fun......not to be mean but give him what ever he wants to do it and thank him because belive me you dont want do it....


if you suck sand in it or run it dry it could score the housing in which case you will want to replace both the housing and impeller, if you only replace impeller there is a good chance it will cavitate (Like a prop) and you will over heat

The price seems fair. We way up north here in seasonal boating country change the impellers about every 2-3 years or every couple hundred hours.. Sooner if you run really dirty sany waters...

Is this short water pump life only in salt or sandy water? I run in crystal clear highland lake reservoir water. Any idea the PM cycle for me?

Ok, I succumbed to the fear, and I was right, had 200 hours to go. I went up and looked at it yesterday, no blades damaged no pieces missing, still pliable. Minor wear lines near where blades meet hub. Here goes 300.00+ I dont have. All sarcasm aside, my mech. even said 400 hours is probably ok. Merc recomends every year, but then they have an interest, just like the people who say you need to change your car oil every 3000, oil producers. So do what makes you comfortable, but this is your real world test, F.E.A.R., false event appears real. thanks, JC
