The "old" tread Carlisle radials all would separate the tread, usually on a hot day when pressure in tire rises. Marathons are the only way to go! Myself and some others make regular 500mi round trips without issues.

Carlisles are trash. I wouldn't even rely on one as a spare. Hell, I had one split on the spare tire holder on my trailer. Imagine if I had needed it. I say all of this not only in my experience but several of my buddies have had the same luck with those POS tires.
I've had very good luck with Towmasters and they are reasonably inexpensive.

Hi Frankie, I have goodyear work-horses on my myco and hand nothing but good luck with the tires...you should check to see if they make them in your size. If you need help you are not that far from me I have a connection with a Goodyear dealer....BZ

Thanks guys.
Bajarunner, thanks for the old thread. I read all the posts, was laughing so hard that my wife had to come into the room to see if I was losing it or what.
I think I'm gonna try the Marathons or the workhorses by Goodyear.
BZ, Can you check on a price for the Goodyears in a size of 225 or 235 x 75 x 15 for me? Preferrably the 235's if available. Need atleast a class "D" load range tire.
Anybody know someone they don't like? I've got a bunch of Carlisles to be given away.
