Hose clamps and/or cap source
#1
Anyone know of a source for better looking/functioning hose clamps than the standard worm gear style we all use?
Also, anyone have a source for those little rubber caps Mercruiser uses?
I'd like my new engine to look better and/or at least not cut me as much when working on it!!!

For a better clamp you can use a "T" bolt clamp which you can source from a plumbing supply. They are quite a bit stronger than the worm drive...and a little more expensive.

I like the Gates heat srink hose clamps. You can get them from McMaster-Carr and they work great but are not reausable. At least when working around them you dont cut your hands to shreads. They are great on header water tubes so you can get to the spark plugs.
