Chrome lowers??

Chrome lowers??
Anyone ever dipped a lower in the chrome tank? My Imco lowers look like hell & won't polish so I was thinking of having them chromed.
Any drawbacks besides the obvious chipping of the chrome?

I have been down the road of trying to keep a Sportmaster polished. They do look fantastic that way, but keeping it polished is a pain. 2 trips to the lake and .............
I ordered my Imco in black for that reason. A year later, it still looks great. It appears to be powder coated. I think you could get the same results in the color of your choice. Powder coating around here (Nashville) is common and inexpensive. We have several guys to choose from. Most of their work is automotive or motorcycle stuff.
