When setting my timing , (with full msd ) I set my base timing at 20 degrees . No problem but when I rev the motor to 3000 rpms no advance kicks in ? Whats the deal .? It should be about 29 degress. Blower motor . I dont want more than 29 or 30. Is my MSD box on the blink ?

If your distributor doesn't have a mechanical advance, it's the module.

Is it a MSD distributor. If so, does it have a mechanical advance? Is it working?
If it's the Merc distributor, it is locked and advance is controled by the module.
An MSD box can be used with the merc distributor and module.
