Re: no water out exhaust
as far as i can tell it is not going any where my luck the sea water pump is shot and it can't pick up suction to push the water out of the motor

Re: no water out exhaust
There have been some that have had troubles with water getting through the fitting in the transome assembly. If your pump was in perfect condition it may flatten out the hose. If not it may simply not get water to it.
I have seen water run past the muffs when the engine isn't running as soon as the engine starts the is very little running past the muffs. |
Re: no water out exhaust
I have seen the same thing my water was pouring out around the muffs even she was running i think i am going to go buy a new pump

Re: no water out exhaust
Sounds like the sea water pump is bad even though inspection looks ok (especially if you rev it and get some water out the exhaust). The stainless endplates in the pump and impeller contact may not allow the pump to seal properly if they are worn. The housing is probably worn/scored as well. They are pricey ~$80-100 to replace the whole pump, kit rebuild is about half that. ONE BIG THING- if you have taken apart or messed with the pump, make sure you have the inlet/ outlet hoses hooked to the correct ports!!!!! NOT 100% SURE but I think I remember the inlet hose from the drive to the pump is the top port on the pump. The outlet goes to your oil coller and then to the thermostat housing. PLEASE double check my suggestion or ask another as I do not remeber 100%....
Good Luck, Zack |
Re: no water out exhaust
You are correct with hose routing. Inlet on top outlet on bottom. Definatly sounds like worn sea water pump.
