Do you have a stock thermostat housing? If so water should be going through the by pass to the risers. Are you trying to run on a flushette? Is the drive late with both side and low water pickups? Two many un answered ?????

Re: no water out exhaust

yes the low water pick-up is taped closed it seems to blow some water if i rev it but that is it I am going to try it in the morning by putting the lower unit in a barrel with water to see if it picks up suction

Did you mess with the thermostat? Possibly but the plastic sleeve in backwards?

Re: no water out exhaust

no i didn't mess with the themostat but if the housing was kind of worn on the back side of the themostat housing could that be why it might not be picking up suction there were some grooves in it but the impeller looked fine

Re: no water out exhaust

Might be a dumb question, but where is the water going?
