I see relay’s for the power hatch motor for $50.00.
Is this something I can buy from an automotive store or Radio Shack?

Some relays also offer a power boost to your lift by giving it a full twelve volts to the motor insted of running the power all the way from the switch on the dash. So if your hatch lift is excessively slow, you may want to consider this. I just bought one from CP Performance for 50.00.

Those kits use 2 different relays .Its easier to buy the kit .But there is a tread here that goes into detail on how to do it with the wiring diagrams etc.

If ya just need the bosh like 30amp relays go to Napa and look in there general lighting catalog .I think the # is 172 0r 272 ..Or go by any stereo shop they have them also.

What you need is the old style remote starter solenoid available at any local auto parts they are still used on many other applications the one in the link below you will never kill it using it on a hatch motor!
