Re: hydrohoist questions
I have used one for a 26 and a 31 Sonic with no problems. It just looks scary as hell the first few times. Follow the directions. Once i wasn't paying attention and i got it all out of wack port bow down star stern up ,,,,,what a mess,,, I thought for sure it was going to roll over.

The best way to do this is to have some sort of referance point while rasing the bow. Have a buddy watch the end on the transom. Once the exh tips are about 6" from the water line pick a referance point on the pontoon. While motor still pumping air turn the other 2 handles to let er rip.

Re: hydrohoist questions
I had a 1989 29 fountain 2 X 454 that had a problem with water getting into the bilge thru the bilge pump outlet. I would bring the bow up first to about 2/3 the way up and then turn on the valves for the stern. BE CAREFUL not to get the stern ahead of the Bow. The bow will sink slower because the weight is in the stern with the engines.
I have never heard of anyone getting water in the exhaust, I guess you could if your boat is too far back on the lift. Always use safety ropes attached to the rear cleats and adjust them properly.
My lift was a 12000 B with a canopy. Great lift I now have a 15000 lb hydrohoist.
