Default Smoke on the water

I went to test my new long blocks today, I had all new manifolds risers carbs rebuilt alternators new starters new lots of work done, cranked up the port motor, sounded smooth, cranked up stb motor sounded ok, port had been running for five mins maybe less stb two mins, tied to the dock at idle, temps hadnt even registered yet, and suddenly smoke alot from the port engine white smoke out of the exhaust, and in the engine bay I immediately shut it down , I havent taken a good look at it yet, but I am curious what you guys think?

water getting in a cylinder somehow... considering what youve had done could be any one of a dozen ways from bad intake sealing to riser gaskets to head gaskets etc etc... just gotta start digging.

Shewww, I spend sunday checking things out, started the engine and milkshake out of the exhaust , opened the valve covers, nice clean fresh out of the bottle looking oil. Hmmm, dip stick nice and clean,,, you know that feeling get when you really know there is a 1 in a billion chance that milkshake out of the exhaust is an easy fix,,mechanic who I decided to let go,( for his premadonna full price and then some value of himself and half azzed patch it together fast as you can and let the owner finish up the B.S.that he was paid for, but didnt think it was a big enough deal to fix antics),,and do it myself,,Looks like the oil cooler that was replaced let some oil go in the sea water cooling system (pre-new long blocks),,, tadah, smoke and milk shake,, now I know why the mechanic uped the price and his timing so he didnt have to break in the engines,, he saw the milkshake and rann like hell I guess, anyway, Im good now all the lifters are adjust by my specs, and now I can turn the key and know its been done right. I'll tell you some of those high dollar speed shops that specialize in our boats are really just specializing in screwing us over.
*Bill from mechanic to check things out and make sure every thing is good $3200.
*Telling you mechanic to F*&%*! OFF! and doing the job right the first time by the book and by yourself. Priceless
