Low water pressure
Last couple times out, yes this was happening during the drive fluid over flowing also, I was not getting the same amount of water flow through the port motor as the starboard.
To test I pulled the same hoses off the T-housing and started up. I would say half the amount of force at best.
All hoses have been back flushed many many times.
Last two times i back flushed the intake hose I did get a few pebbles back out of the drive nose
But now it is full flowing.
When running even mild rpm--3000-- the motor starts to get hot.
I want to pull the drive and check the internal hose.
A few tell me that the inserts could be closing on it self when getting up to temp.
What is involved in removing them? I see a special tool needed.
What else would it be?

thats known as bravo fever and it is not too bad. remove outdrive, there is the nylon insert there. needs merc tool. then on the inner transom plate remove the water inlet housing( behind engine just above input shaft). the 1 1/4 hose from water pump is going to it. 2, 7 /16 bolts hold it in place. there is the same nylon insert there as on the outside. remove both inserts , remove hose, and your done. upon installation DO NOT rotate hose at all when installing or as you tighten for this will cause the hose to kink under trim causing a starvation problem.
when you remove the inserts you will notice corrosion build up, or the hose itself appearing to have a small inside diameter.

Thinking this is the most likley culprit
Question, what o-ring kit do i need or is it needed, to pull the outdrive off?
Or can you just pull and re-install?

I used a pair of needle nose. The needle nose when open just right can be used to fit in the plastic groves. It worked for me anyway.
