Do you have cog or serpentine drive system? If serpentine maybe your SC belt is slipping ?
IS your SC new or used ? Is it making proper boost ?
Other than that - you may have some serious tuning issues. Fuel system enough and at proper psi ? What's compression ? Total boost at max rpm ? Timing ? Spark plugs color ?

Before you chase your tail for the rest of the summer looking for lost HP like we did last season, you may want to check your hull for hooks, rocker etc.
We went from 1200 to 1700hp in our Top Gun and only netted 1 to 2 mph until we re- worked her pad and rear hull, Instant 10+mph.
It was like the brakes were on @ 84 mph even spinning more rpms.
It's just something to take a closer look at, because I didn't see what others did ,she looked fine to me even with my 6' straight edge.
Good Luck!

And that was after several weeks of throwing more boost, another set of brand new valve springs and fine tuning our new engines, that he clearly new were pumping well over 800 hp each,he was right!
Tres Martin has or had a guy that does blue printing on Top Guns, I don't know anyone other than Tres in Florida that does that kind of work.
Good Luck!
