you can hot tank any block and heads, the head castings are the only thing worth saving, install screw in rocker studs, toss the rockers springs etc. replace with roller rockers and new valves and springs. keeping mind you can by new copletely assm heads for not a lot of money.

Where did the H2O ( that caused the rust) come from ?

If the head is cracked , there's no need to hot tank it.

I'd be looking for the source of the H2O first.

You're in for a lot of fun. If the engine has been in salt water it will be nicely welded together. You won't know until it is totally disassembled.

Finding someone with a hot tank may be your biggest issue. Most are long gone due to EPA regs. If you are near a place that does hot dip galvanizing, the solution they use to pickle stuff before actual galvanizing will clean them up nicely, too.

Well got out my 2600 psi power washer and that worked great
all the rust off looks like it was sand blasted. unstuck the Valves
now if I could only get the pistons unstuck.
