Yes they should fit. You have to grind a couple of the rockers for clearence. The height is about the same. The shape and bolt pattern is the same.

I ground out the drippers and sandwhiched a set of steel core rubber felpro gaskets between a set of stock merc valve covers on merlin vr heads before (a common way of making them work) so they can be made to work and not leak and you don't necessarily have to grind the rockers,Smitty

I did the same as arcticfriends on mine and it works perfectly. The fel-pro part number appears to be 375-1635 from Jegs. $35.99 for the pair but well worth it.

Stock valve covers will not fit on the cast iron merlin heads. I went though this a couple of years ago.

I had stock 502 valve covers on my merlin vr's (Iron Grumpy Jenkins series) for 5 years and they never leaked. I ground the drippers out, left the factory o-rings,layed a small bead of mr gasket great stuff on top of a set of felpro steel core rubber gaskets and bolted them on. Sounds cobbled but you couldn't tell looking at it and they never leaked. Tyler Crockett has done the same thing on customers motors. I bought nice aftermarket valve covers once and they would not clear my supercharger intake at all, sent them back. I'm currently running the same stock valve covers on a set of AFR's,Smitty

I had stock hp 500 valve covers on Merlin heads. The grinding on the rockers is no big deal. It's only the back corner on 2 of them.

Yup, and some Rockers come this way so you don't have to do it yourself. :D
