Honestly, I'd try and have Dean set the boat up for you... Ship it down there and have him get it right...
Panther the drives are the same depth in the water other than the diff. in the weight of them from a bravo drive.
Dean seems to be not returning my calls and i got a email from him a few weeks ago that said he would like to make it right, well so far he sent me a set of lowers and thats it.

Back4More i have tried a stock set of 26 and got a few more rpms but no more speed.I have tried a set of labbed 28s and got no more speed.Throttle up says with the 26 test props i used that my slip was at 12 and trying to get any lower slip would be hard cause i would lose getting on plane I think is what see said.

I think the 1.30 doesn't seem to work for you with your HP/TQ setup. Maybe your motors have a higher torque curve and with the 1.50 it allows you to spin the motors up into peak torque and HP. With the 1.30 you're geared down low and even with the smaller props your mid-range torque can't get you up in the right RPMS??? I think of it like having a 4.11 vs. a 3.73 rear.

That really sucks that they didn't work for you, something must be different on your engine/drive setup then mine since I only lost 2 mph. I have a low reving engine, big cubes and low/broad tq curve, maybe it works better with a low gear ratio... Years ago I worked on tombone1993's Fountain and we switched from 1.50's to 1.36's and lost a bunch of spead. I don't think it's the "drives" as much as the gear ratio.

BTW, I had 15-16% slip with the 32's and 1.50's. My slip came down to 12% with the 1.36's spinning 26's.

The B max drive is 1 inch father back than a bravo.Which would make it deeper [just a little !!]in the water,Kinda like a 1 inch set back .

I also have gone from a 1.50 Bravo to the 1.30 B-Max. I am still prop testing but went from a 32 bravo stock at 5100 rpm and 83.2 to a 30 Bravo labbed at 5350 and 84.1.

I am currently trying a little beat up 26 Bravo at 5200 and 82.2 I hope to get it all back labbing a 26. I ran 81.2 at 4400 with my labbed 30 on the B-Max during break in.

I'm gonna try and get my hands on a set of labbed 28's next year and see if they work.

What hp is your motor?

A 1.50 gear B Max might help some people getting the TQ multiples rights with prop size.

If I ever get My new Bmax lower I will be able to give you a back to back test on the stock lower foot compared to the B Max crescent lower. I think now with the stock style lower foot I am having prop blow out probs at 100mph ????

Thanks for the offer! I took the last run and won't use the boat till next year. If you don't sell them by the spring I'll give them a shot.

PS, I saw your motors up in LI when they were freshly painted.
