How to change XR lower gears?

How hard is it to change the lower gears on an XR? Has anyone documented the correct procedure?

It is not that difficult to do providing you have mechanical experience. However, there are a bunch of tools you will need. Some that are specific from Merc, others are regular handtools, also a dial indicator, feeler guages, 1/2" torque wrench, 3/8" torque-o-meter and the Merc manual.
