Turn downs will solve the rain problem but not the water from the back problem.

Rain wil not be a problem, assuming you'll plug them after use. water over the back and you could have a problem. If it gets that high over the back you'll have other problems. Has water ever gotten that high? If not then you'll probably be ok. just my .02

thanks guys i ran them trough the transom, it just took a lot of glass work i know have other problems
