grease
I couldn't resist. allows you to grease the coupler without pulling the drive, every 50 hours can't hurt. |

Re: are all bravo couplers the same?
Hey Fellas,
Got a question, I just pulled my my 600 hp 502 ci. engine out of my 24 Pantera. I have about 180 hrs on the drive coupler, heavy duty mercury marine (mcm 861523A9). I will be freshening my engine and reinstalling it my question is do I need to replace the coupler or will it be O.K. I have always greased the unit probably more than necessary. Visually it looks as good as the day i bolted up to the engine. Any advise on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Anthony |

Thanks, Anthony should be fine ...only problem would be spline wear from misalignment ... the splines should be squared (flat) .. If they come to a point you need to replace it ....m |
