I had these wedges made last year and they have worked without any issues .... I dont like the way the bolt head meets the flange ... any suggestions ? thinking maybe stainless spacers cut at the correct angle ?

Get a counterbore and set up the risors at the same angle as your wedge so the C-bore is perpendicular to the threads and spot face the hole until the bolt head sits flush. Don't bore any deeper than needed. That will also take the side stress off the bolts as what you are doing now. The counter bore will have a pilot to locate in the hole to keep it centered and free from walking. The flange appears thick enough to accomplish this. Peice of cake.

I will have to check ... how close the edge of the hole will be to the edge of the flange ... maybe some stainless bar counter drilled ? ... I will check though ... good idea ..m
