The 454 mag will turn a 25p Mirage plus. I turn 2 of them . If he can spin it to 5200 he would be about 73 mph with 10% slip...... If he made a typo and has no GPS, that MAY be his speedo reading.

That's a lot of ifs and maybes.

The 1987 carb 454 Magnum was a 330hp prop, the 1988 carb was a 350hp prop. Later they went up to 365 then 385 with EFI.

Well, I have to agree with everyone here. I don't even think its an XR.!The rear cap, side stickers and the bell housing stickers are all from different era's. There's rust colored stain on the transom just under the drain plug, so who knows what that is leaking. The drive use to have aluminum top cap, hence the studs and bushings. Holes for the shower tube but no tube. The upper and lower cases are stamped with letters so that means they have been apart before. If you view the 120 pictures he has on it, the stbd wear pad is missing and started to gall up the aluminum on the ring and the drive.

Sorry dude, just my observation.

Quoting ad:
When you hit the throttle in this boat make sure the passengers are holding on otherwise you may eject them from the sheer G-Force.
Pretty much proof the owner is a meatball. Even if boat was legit I don't buy from meatballs.

80 mph speedo reading=likely with current going with them
My guess with that set-up 73-75 gps.

Clean boat, but imo, $14-15k a little high, this time of year/economy
