Default Anyone Deal with Titanium Scrap ?

Looking for ( 4 ) pieces

Finish size would be 6" x 6" x 1 1/2" Thick

Some spacers, titaium acts as an insulator.
So not only does in disapate heat well, it also does a good job not transfering the heat to it's mating pieces.

That's the least of my worry's, it actually machines real nice with coated carbides and the right coolants.

4 pieces 6.000 X 6.000 X 1.500 thick is finish sizes.

I'll do all the machining, so as long as the pieces are bigger than those dimensions I can bring them to size.

If there all in one plate I can cut them out to, just need to compensate for my cutter running in between them.

Are you looking for 6al 4v? We have a pretty big stock left over from a DOE job we ran. I have some large drop outs but I'm not sire if they're that big. I'm out of town till Tues AM but will check when I get in.

there are about 300 types of ti. if you are using for spacers probably not a big deal all are good insulators have to cut from round call 219-240-2595

Not an expert on the metalergical end of Titanium, so if ya know the defference between the two please advise.

Will be dealing with some heat cycles............as high as 1000 degree's.

6al 4v is the most common and is used widly in the aerospace industry. If you go to matweb you can look up all the differnt types and their properties. Just depends on the application.
