500hp to 525's swap

500hp to 525's swap
Has anyone pulled out 500 hp's carbed and installed 525's efi.I would think wiring harness or most of it would come with the motor, any info would be appreciated

From 2006 1/2 you are dealing with a new harness (14 pin) using canbus digital technology. You need to rewire the boat at the motor and at the helm and fit a AGI (Analogue Gauge Interface). Its not painfull or expensive, but its not plug and play either.
I converted my boat from 2003 496 to a new 525 at the start of the season. Rerigged the harness without any problems. It runs great.
Pre 2006 525īs are basically interchangeable with a 502, 496 or 500.
