I don’t know why ....but the beginning of the tool we have 1.118 with your drawing ....and my father go to a boat dealer yesterday ....and he measuring a tool and the measure is 1.010 ...look like we are .108 to big  .....i continue my research .....no one have the same concern ???

Well if you look at my first drawing that shows the two ended tool for Alpha or bravo it shows on the Alpha side that its 1.011 in size on the end....and if you also look at the second pic that shows the update/modifcations at the bottom it reads "The modified 91-57797A3 tool or the new tool 91-805475A1 will align all current Alpha or Bravo models as well as all older engines that used the older 91-57797A3 tool"
So that would lead me to believe that you would need to make you tool to the original alpha side specs WITH the midifcations from the second pic......

maybe the older Bravo's had slightly different sized couplers??? i dunno

I bought one of the A1 tools and there's no way its going to work with a alpha, I called the shop I bought it from and they say the ones they use in there shop measure out to 1.118. Even the directions that came with tool say it will work with alpha drives. Whats the deal with tool.
