Fuel Pressure Gauge??

plus if ya have a drop in the gauge...You are going to feel the motor loose rpm before ya notice the gauge, unless you just stare at the fuel pressure all the time............Not knocking ya i just prefer the light system in a high performance application...

at w.o.t it should maintain 5 psi. if it drops below that its starting to run lean. leaner is meaner, but with catastrophic result.

Your right but, in a stock application like his cutting a hole in the dash and putting a gauge in that doesnt match the rest of the dash doesnt make much sense............If ya look at the pic of my dash i have warning light on top of the two top gauges one is for fuel pressure and one for oil......20psi of oil light comes on.....any drastic drop in fuel press light comes on....
lights are an alarm circuit to alert you when a malfunction is occuring. they are handy when running from a cruise to having it bricked. you must watch the water while runing hard, so having a light up high , thats in line of sight is great, but when you idle bnack down it would be nice to know just how bad is your problem.
i personally believe all boats should have full guages including fuel psi AND pyro. as well as audable and visual alrms.

What sensors do you use for fuel and oil pressure lights?

Ah Ha !!! So you do care ... I have no problem with the light setup .... its prob a great idea ... On my 311 I have limited dash area and have been pondering how could I ad more gauges .... also tied to the Audible alarm ?

if u went thru the trouble to wire and drill in the light, then y not a gauge.you may as well use just a light for the oil and temp as well.
