FYI guys here's just some questions to consider and some possible options. Most all of the leading engine builders Sterling, Keith Eickert, Chief Engines, Teague and even Mercury have advanced to multi-stage water pumps because of the amount of additional water volume they can deliver to the intercooler. In these applications the 3M brillo sanding pad not only doesnt filter very well at 400 microns (!!!) its a piece of sanding cloth ??? compared to a 40 Micron stainless 360 degree element like the Hardin Marine unit. Next what happens when the 3M sanding cloth clogs? There is no bypass in this style system and it will merely reduce water flow to the point you torch the intercooler core. Once again the Hardin Marine unit features 1"-npt inlet with dual 3/4"npt outlets as well as dual stainless water bypass valves internally. So in the event you actually packed the entire container full of sand the unit would still flow water to the intercooler. While I guess throwing a sanding cloth in a traditional strainer may provide some filtering source it was definately not designed to filter very well. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO

I just did some research and bought KE's 620913205 10" High Output sea strainer with 1 1/4" fittings for the engine side and their 6254620 sand sea strainer for my KE intercooler. I also bought their 6254122-0524430 s/s 2 stage sea pump. One side to feed the engine and the other stage for the intercooler. You can call Jeff Stuff at K.E. I like the Supercharger mount but was told it by CP it would not work on a quad rotor Whipple. Why is it less than the remote mount? It has a bracket and the remote doesn't.

II hope this will clear up the pricing confusion, part #625-4620 is $599.95 and is the remote mounted sand strainer. while the #625-4621 sells for $699.95 and is the cylinder head mount version with custom billet brackets. The actual supercharger mount #625-4623 $119.95 is a stainless mount only it still requires purchase of the sand strainer. This is designed around the Whipple or Mercury 3.3 litre style superchargers. The Quad rotor turns the supercharger on a angle and hasn't been addressed yet. Sorry for any confusion.

I just checked those out on your site. Nice looking stuff. Can you post a pic of the cylinder head mount version? I think the remote mount would work really well but the cylinder head version may be the shiz-nit.

The Hardin Marine set up is the way to go!!!!! After my over served group knocked over the Hardin display in Key West, we almost had enough scratched and dented one's to go around...LOL!!!!!! Seriously thought, the Hardin set up is top shelf!!!!! I did not notice a sanding pad in the bottom though.
