I have a 1988 Baja Force 265..I repowered it with an HP500 3 years ago..I bought a supercharger and am getting ready to install it for this year..The stock HP500 makes about 470hp at the prop..mine made about 525 because of some head work I had done, plus it is a 509 now..it should make close to 650hp with my 250 B&M blower install..all with my bravo 1 outdrive! I will be selling all my old intake and carb parts if you are interested..High rise Dart with 800CFM Holley & all the linkages for the carb and the fuel lines.

ak, I have an '89 Stingray 222 that I have put a 580hp 502 in, however various logistical and financial setbacks have kept me off the water. We have pretty much the same hull and weight. You're prolly gonna wanna start with a 502, unless you really wanna scream a 454. 625 is easy with a 502, and it will still be pretty durable.
98itrwhite, what prop are you running and what have you tried?

i raised my exhuast tips up about mybe 10 inches from stock so now they sit above the water line. its a very tight fit and i had to make my own custom tips so it would work. rite now i am running dana marine flow torqe manifolds with tube style risers. i love them they look trick and sound even better. as for a prop i was running all last summer a 24p rev4. it did well but theres room for improvement. i am in the middle of painting the boat rite now so its hard for me to get pics but i will try to find some to show you what i did for the exhuast
