Fresh Long Block - Which Cam
#1
I had my 454 (bored .030) freshened. It has Dart Iron Eagle Heads, Rev Valves, Crane Gold Rockers, Isky Springs, Forged Crank, Eagle Rods, new Melling Oil Pump, JE Pistons and new rings.
Looking for a cam to install and sell the completed long block.
Was hoping to get a buyer and let them choose the cam.
What cam would you recommend??

The crane series mentioned has very slow opening and closing ramps and will bleed off cylinder pressure . The comp extreme lobes are new designs . Plus , they are much less $$ than what the summit catalog charges from CP .
I would prefer a comp cam over a crane .
Also , this mellow profile will work with well with about any exhaust used on the engine , and will not have reversion problems .

4 Bolt Gen VI 454 (bored .030) freshened, Dart Iron Eagle Heads, Rev Valves, Crane Gold Rockers, Isky Springs, Forged Crank, Eagle Rods, new Melling Oil Pump, JE Pistons, new rings, new bearings. As far as tin - Timing chain cover (aluminum) and oil pan. I do have accessories, but wasn't installing them.

This engine is fresh with "0" time on it from Ateco Engine and Dyno Shop.
