Mold on seats, boat out of storage.
 

Here is a good one. Put the boat away in Cctober. In climate controlled 50 - 55 degree inside storage. The upolstery was pure white with not a mark. Went over the entire interior with FRENZY VYNAL PROTECTANT, then put 50 lbs of charcoal in 3 roasting pans throughout. Then sprayed down the entire interior with Lysol.

Picked up the boat yesterday and the cuddy had a light filim of mold which I got off but the front bolsters look like a biology experement. Mold with dark yellow spots. There is pink spots as well inaddition to the typical dark mold spots.

I have used Simple Green, Soft scrub, and Clorox II spray cleaner. I have used a scrub brush, rag, green srub pad etc Still won't come off.

In addition, the engine hatch has a few dark stains as well that won't come off.

I'm afraid it's reuined. Anything else I can do and if not, what are my options?

Get the bolsters redone? Can they be sent back to Baja or can I get the vynal from Baja?

Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

Use some Clorox Clean Up with bleach and put it out in the sun. The spots will fade away eventually. Condition it also, of course.

Mr Clean Eraser did no good.

No sun for a few weeks I'm afraid.

try tilex tub and tile or oxy clean.

i use bleach and water on my CC

try some Mold Remover stuff from West Marine, etc.

Tried mold remover. No good.

HAve not tried Tilex or Ozy. Will try that next.

Pink spots - sounds like a chemical reaction. With all the chemicals you got floating around that boat - it sounds like a dayum chemistry expirement. 50lbs of Charcoal, what are you barbecueing? Lysol, Vinyle Portectant - all that stuff has to vent. I don't know maybe I am just not up to date on the cleansers, but Charcoal and Lysol is not designed for marine use.

Sounds like the bolsters are having a hard time breathing - which may have been compounded by the vinyl potectant. The moisture has to get out somehow. Is it a new boat? Do you keep it stored on a lift in the water?

It is stained and you are going to have to let the stains bleach out. Use the clorox clean up and give it some time.Let it soak in and wipe it off lightly. It will take a while, like a few weeks, but I'm fairly confident it will slowly fade away.

I had a red shirt stain a seat. Tried a lot of stuff. Did it the way I described and the stain was completely gone in a week.
